Hasan Al Banna is a Research Associate at the Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh (PRI). Prior to this role, he served as a Research Intern at PRI, contributing to various projects in collaboration with organizations such as BBINS, IFPRI, and the World Bank. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka.
Banna’s research interests span trade, macroeconomic policy, and climate change. At PRI, he provides essential research support across a wide range of areas, including trade and tariff policy, macroeconomic management, and private sector development. His responsibilities include supporting research initiatives, conducting empirical analyses using econometric techniques, assisting in the preparation of draft reports for PRI’s contracts with different agencies, and strengthening PRI’s sectoral databases.
Looking ahead, Banna aspires to pursue a Ph.D. in Applied Economics at a leading international university. He aims to deepen his expertise in econometrics and policy analysis, with the goal of contributing to sustainable economic development and addressing critical global challenges.
