Dr. Bashiruddin completed his MSc in Statistics from Dhaka University in 1974. He did his MA in Demography from Australian National University (1979) and PhD in Demography from University of California, Berkeley (1984). He has also served as, among his numerous accolades, Senior Executive Fellow in the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and Post Doctoral Fellow in University of Wisconsin, Madison.
