Hasan Al Banna is a Senior Research Associate at the Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh (PRI), where his work centres on trade policy, tariff analysis, and development economics. His research covers Bangladesh’s tariff structure and anti export bias, export competitiveness, fiscal and social protection policy, and financial inclusion, and he contributes to policy reports and technical advisory work for government ministries and development partners. He is a member of the Joint Research Team constituted by the Ministry of Commerce to implement the Joint Action Plan on Enhancing Bangladesh’s Export Capacity.
He completed his BSS and MSS in Economics from the Department of Economics, University of Dhaka. He aspires to pursue a PhD in Applied Economics.
